Mohamed Salah scored twice as Liverpool avenged last season's Merseyside derby despair with an imperious 4-1 victory over Everton at Goodison Park.

Liverpool scored four goals in an away league match against Everton for the first time since a 5-0 win in November 1982 under Bob Paisley.

The victory sees Jurgen Klopp's side keep pace with Chelsea and Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.

while Everton remains in 14th, without a win in eighth and with the pressure increasing even more on manager Rafa Benitez.

Liverpool has scored at least twice in each of their last 18 games in all competitions, the new longest record in history by an English top-flight side.

Another game, another masterclass from Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian scoring twice as his side recorded a 4-1 win at Goodison.

Mohamed Salah has scored 13 Premier League goals this season, nine of which have come away from home.

Salah has been directly involved in at least one goal in each of his last 12 Premier League appearances (13 goals, 7 assists).
