(MENAFN) On Wednesday, the Turkish major stock index closed with wins to achieve another high ending of 1,857.40 points, as it reached a one-day fresh record high of 1,857.83 points in the trading session.
Beginning the day at 1,828.33 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index increased 47.75 points, or 2.64 percent, from last ending of 1,809.65 points.
The lowest price of the index recorded in the day was 1,823.06 points, whereas its everyday high was 1,857.83 points. The overall market worth of the BIST 100 was more than 1.5 trillion Turkish liras (USD116 billion) by market end, with a daily trading capacity of 38.7 billion Turkish liras (USD2.9 billion).
While 90 stocks on the index increased, eight dropped throughout the day, and two stayed at the same value in comparison to Tuesday's end. The uppermost trading volumes were registered by private lender Garanti BBVA, national flag carrier Turkish Airlines, as well as glassmaker Sise Cam.
