Qatar - Action taken against company for storing expired food items

(MENAFN- Gulf Times)

The Ministry of Municipality, in co-operation with the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, recently carried out a joint inspection campaign that resulted in the detection of a food storage facility violating the laws.
The warehouse is located in the Birkat Al Awamer area.

The authorities concerned had earlier received information that a company was storing and repacking expired food products, in addition to hiring some persons who violated the residency laws.
Accordingly, there was co-ordination among the Ministry of Municipality, the Ministry of Interior's Search and Follow Up Department, Al-Fazaa and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to find the place.
When inspectors entered the targeted storage facility, expired food products were found along with some packing and repacking equipment and tools, besides a number of residency law violators. The necessary legal measures were taken in the case.
