Erdogan urges external investors to invest in Turkey


(MENAFN) On Tuesday Recep Tayyip Erdogan, president of Turkey urged during overseas stockholders to make lasting investments in Turkey a televised interview.

He reported to Turkish state broadcaster TRT, "it is time for foreign investors to make long-term investments [in Turkey]. Those who have made long-term investments in Turkey have always won, and they will keep winning."

Moreover, Erdogan highlighted that his country is decreasing its present account insufficiency on a monthly basis, and hopefully it is going to register a current account surplus by the upcoming year.

He stated, "we are no longer posting a current account deficit and financing this deficit with external debt, but we are moving towards an economy that gains foreign currency and posting a current account surplus."
