Panama - Health Minister meets restaurant owners on bio-security

The Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre, met Tuesday with representatives of the Restaurant Association and the Association of Restaurants, Bars, and Discotheques (Arbyd), to discuss compliance with biosafety measures.

Sucre reiterated to these entrepreneurs that there is a decree that supports them so that there are two types of capacity, 100% as long as the biosafety requirements are met and the card or QR code is requested to the premises or events and 50% for those seeking to serve the general population.

'Today the General Directorate of Public Health is making a resolution official where it is placing very high-risk African countries and we are about to present to the President of the Republic, some proposals to prevent this variant from entering Panama', he stressed.

He said that these are temporary changes in the entries and exits to the country, while the rest of the country's trade, the government aspires to keep it as it is.
