Aleya has recently completed her PhD from the University of Cambridge. Her work involves investigating the neurocognitive features of psychiatric disorders across human development. Her main focus is obsessive-compulsive disorder, specifically researching how learning and decision-making processes are affected in teenagers and adults with OCD. Currently she is investigating cognition in a cohort of adult and juvenile patients with OCD using neuropsychological testing, computational modelling, brain imaging, and physiological techniques.
