SBU: About 7,000 Russian security officers destabilizing situation in Ukraine


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) About 7,000 officers of the Russian special services are involved in shattering and destabilizing the situation in Ukraine.

'To date, about 7,000 officers of special services work against Ukraine from the territory of the Russian Federation,' Head of the Cyber Security Department of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Illia Vitiuk said on the air of 'Freedom of Speech' TV program on November 29, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, since the beginning of this year, the SBU Cyber Security Department has blocked 15 extensive networks of anti-Ukrainian Internet agitators and has shut down about 20 sockpuppet farms with a capacity of more than 150,000 accounts.

'It is allegedly 150,000 people who comment something, share publications, write and give an assessment to events. We conducted an unprecedented special operation against the Armagedon hacker group which was headquartered at the FSB of Russia and operated from Crimea,' Vitiuk added.
