(MENAFN) As stated by Lebanese Health Minister Firas Abyad, Turkey is going to carry on standing by Lebanon to aid the country in solving its health sector issues.
Abyad welcomed Turkey as an “important and strong” nation that achieved development in the health sector.
Lebanon was struggling with a deep financial disaster since 2019, within a currency deflation and lack of petroleum and medicines.
Lebanese demonstrators closed roads in some cities to protest against living and economic circumstances in Lebanon.
Abyad added that Lebanon financial woes since 2019 affected many sectors, as well as the health sector.
He further declared "Turkey has been standing by Lebanon for many years and continues to support us,” “Our future cooperation between the two countries in the health field looks very bright.”
