Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man appears in the tie-in items for Spider-Man: No Way Home. The original wall-crawler from Sony speculates to make an appearance in the upcoming MCU film directed by Jon Watts. Although there's no confirmation yet. Despite this, there is a rising indication that Maguire will reprise his Marvel superhero role in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Peter Parker (Tom Holland) faces the implications of his superhero secret identity being revealed. But the game-changing end of Spider-Man: Far From Home still serves as the narrative leaping point for the threequel. However, Spider-Man: No Way Home will not spend much time on this narrative; instead of focusing on the film's ties to the MCU's nascent multiverse. Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) unwittingly exposes Earth to other interdimensional monsters including Doc Ock (Alfred Molina), Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), and Electro by casting a manipulated spell (Jamie Foxx). All three appeared in the second trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, which was just out. However, there were no hints of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, who are both likely to be in the film.
Given this, when Maguire's Spider-Man featured in a Spider-Man: No Way Home marketing package, one fan was understandably in shock. Although only a fraction of Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man is visible, fans will recognize the image as being directly stolen from The Daily Bugle's front page from Sam Raimi's original Spider-Man film in 2002. However, because this is a tie-in product, it's unclear whether Marvel Studios and Sony approved the design. For what it's worth, neither studio has confirmed or denied that Maguire and Garfield will appear in the film. It's worth mentioning, though, that this isn't the first time a company has made this assumption. Previously, when advertising No Way Home, the Russian Skittles website included Garfield's Spider-Man on its landing page. But, like with the Bark Box offering, there's no news on whether Marvel and Sony have given it their approval.
With less than a month until Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters. But it's unclear whether a third trailer will release. In any case, TV advertisements and official one-sheets are still releasing as part of the marketing campaign. However, if a new teaser is on the way, it may finally confirm the long-held rumors that Maguire and Garfield would appear in Holland's upcoming picture . Fans can then concentrate on other aspects of the film.
