Netherlands: Authorities catch Coronavirus infected couple after escape attempt

(MENAFN) On Monday, Nov. 29 an executive from the Netherlands reported, a couple was held by authorities while they were attempting to get out from Coronavirus quarantine in the country, after they tested positive for Covid-19 and were taken to a hospital to be under isolation.

They are a Spanish man and a Portuguese woman. They went out of the hotel where infected passengers were kept, following their arrival at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam from South Africa.

Petra Faber, representative of Haarlemmermeer city where Schiphol is situated at the outside of capital, stated: “They have now been transferred to a hospital elsewhere in the Netherlands to ensure they are in isolation. They are now in so-called forced isolation,” adding “we don’t know who tested positive for the new variant and we wouldn’t say because of privacy.”
