UK needs to enhance efforts for green jobs creation

(MENAFN) If the British government is determined on reaching its goals regarding green jobs, then it must provide environmentally-friendly opportunities.

Company PwC reported, job opportunities that are connected to environmental economy make up 1.2 percent of all promoted jobs the first two quarters of the year, amounting to only 124,600 fresh roles.

Enhancing the number of environmentally-friendly roles is considered to be part of the UK’s government scheme for “green industrial revolution.”

In November last year, the government declared that USD5.338 billion are to be specialized for the making of 250,000 fresh environmental opportunities, in an endeavor to get to zero carbon emissions goals by 2050.

The COP26 conference brought new light, in 2021, for the recurring problem.
