+22 deaths due to assault on refugees’ camp in DRC

(MENAFN) More than 22 citizens were murdered during a rebel assault in the northeast of the Democratic Nation of Congo.

As announced by regional journalists, The Cooperative for the Development of the Congo (CODECO) began the assault on the Ivo expatriate people's camp in Ituri state.

Many people escaped from the camp as members of the military group started shooting on the refugees.

An assault on the same camp killed 29 citizens last week.

On May 7, Leader Felix Tshisekedi stated an army barrier in the countries of North Kivu and Ituri on May 7 to guarantee safety because of rising violence.
