Doha: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has updated the classification of countries based on the level of Covid-19 risk.
The Ministry stated that the update in the Green and Red List will take effect from today, November 29, 2021, at 12:00 pm (midday).
On the otherhand, the changes on the Exceptional Red List took effect from Friday, November 26, 2021.
In the new update, the number of countries under the Green List has been reduced and now only includes 175 countries. The Covid-19 Red List Countries still consist of 21 countries.

The classification of countries under the Exceptional Red List has also been updated. To date, there are 16 countries in the list including:
1. Bangladesh
2. Botswana
3. Egypt
4. Eswatini
5. India
6. Lesotho
7. Namibia
8. Nepal
9. Pakistan
10. Philippines
11. Sri Lanka
12. South Africa
13. South Sudan
14. Sudan
15. Zimbabwe
16. Indonesia
