UK: Butlin's ready to sell as staycations become more popular

(MENAFN) Butlin's is getting ready to sell midst a surge in British staycations, potentially triggering an auction madness for the nation's most well-known holiday resort chain.

Bourne Leisure, which even possesses Haven and Warner Leisure Hotels, newly appointed investment bankers to perform a bid of Butlin's next year, according to Sky News.

The announcement comes only a year after Bourne Leisure, a privately owned company, traded a major stake to Blackstone, a private equity firm, in a deal worth around USD4.002 billion.

Butlin's probable sale price was unknown this weekend, but financiers and investment firms predicted "a deluge" of involvement with the brand as well as its three locations.
