European Union to invest in Asia-Pacific region

(MENAFN) On Friday, Nov. 26 the EU intends to invest more than before in the Asia-Pacific zone, according to the European Commission's president.

"We are going to intensify our investments, like never before, we're going to build new physical and digital connections between our regions,” Ursula von der Leyen stated while talking via videoconference at the 13th Asia-Europe Session, and highlighting the significance of improving the bond among both Europe and the Asia-Pacific area.

The European Union's senior executive raised optimism that EU and the area could collaborate on problems like the coronavirus epidemic and climate change. According to Von der Leyen, the two sides must dedicate to "an open and stable trading environment," which is a critical requirement for advancing the economic reemergence following the epidemic.
