UAE collaborates with Siemens to accelerate digitalization process of industrial field

(MENAFN) The Ministry of Industry along with Advanced Technology has cooperated with Germany energy firm Siemens to make the process of digitization of the nation’s industrial field happen more quickly.

On Sunday, the ministry stated in a statement that as part of the arrangement, towards the end of next year, the two units are going to assess the digital maturity of 200 industrial firms in the Emirate, mentioning that over 70 industrial corporations in the nation have already went through the process.

According to minister of State for Advanced Technology, Sarah Al Amiri, “the programme will equip our industrial companies with essential insights on their digital maturity and offer practical frameworks and tools to accelerate their transformation journeys.”

The collaboration between the ministry and Siemens is going to help achieve the goals of the Emirates Industry 4.0 plan to increase industrial productivity by 30 per cent and invest around Dh25 billion (USD6.8bn) to the national economy in the next ten years.
