Qatar - MEEZA announces launch of 4th M-VAULT 4 data centre building

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) HE the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohamed bin Ali bin Mohamed al-Mannai has launched the fourth data centre building of MEEZA's M-VAULT 4. The new data centre building hosts Microsoft Cloud data centre region offering cloud services to customers in Qatar, the region, and the world.
M-VAULT 4 was launched during an official ceremony attended by al-Mannai, MEEZA chairman Sheikh Hamad bin Abdulla al-Thani, who is also Vodafone Qatar CEO, and Microsoft Qatar country manager Lana Khalaf.
The new data centre building will further contribute to the acceleration of Qatar's digital transformation agenda and support a smarter, more technologically advanced economy. The building is considered the biggest data centre in Qatar and was built in line with the highest international standards and provides the largest Information Technology (IT) capacity of any data centre building in the country.
As such, it enhances Qatar's position as a regional and global centre of cloud data and improves the level of IT services in the region and the world. Moreover, the launch of the Microsoft data centre hosted in M-VAULT 4 will play an instrumental role in supporting smart solutions that contribute to supporting the path of transformation and growth for various vital fields and economic sectors, including healthcare, scientific research, artificial intelligence, education, and energy, as well as managing and organising major sporting events, among others.
HE Al-Mannai said,“We are pleased to launch the M-VAULT 4 data centre. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to MEEZA for their efforts in bringing this data centre building to completion, which will contribute to providing more cloud hosting services and is considered a new important milestone in Qatar Azure Region journey that we have embarked on in partnership with Microsoft.

Organisations in Qatar and the region will soon be able to benefit from the innovative solutions provided by Qatar Azure cloud region that keeps pace with the development of the era and drive growth.”
