Ukrainian Ministry of Energy considers investments for green schemes


(MENAFN) Minister of Energy in Ukraine German Galushchenko sat with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s directors, where they argued about the future of EBRD investment projects in the decarbonization schemes in the country.

The Ministry of Energy announces, “Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko met with the leadership of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development – EBRD Vice President Alain Pilloux and EBRD Vice President for Policy and Partnerships Mark Bowman,” adding “the parties discussed the processes and prospects for decarbonization of Ukraine’s energy sector, fair transformation of coal regions, development of nuclear and renewable energy.”

The EBRD backs Ukraine in the hard work it does to perform an environmentally-friendly shift, as it is prepared to put money in certain schemes related to decarbonization and sustainable power.
