India takes international flights again starting Dec. 15


(MENAFN) On Friday, Indian authorities announced that the country is taking up international commercial flights again starting from Dec.15

According to an order issued by India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation, "the matter has been reviewed and the competent authority has decided to resume the scheduled commercial international passenger services, to and from India, with effect from 15th December 2021."

The arranged worldwide commercial passenger services are going to remain postponed till 11.59 pm Indian time on Dec. 14. considering COVID-19, the commercial flights were on hold from March 23, 2020. At the moment, flights on several international directions are being managed under air bubble agreement.

However, India's Civil Aviation ministry declared on Friday, that "there will be a calibrated resumption of operations from the countries recognized" as "at-risk" by the Indian Health Ministry.
