Maritime contract uplifted Turkey, Libya joint business


(MENAFN) On account of the maritime limits contract inked by Turkey and Libya, two-sided business amid both nations climbed by 43 percent to stand at USD2.3 billion during the previous two years regardless of the epidemic.

The mutual business rate may amount to USD3 billion for the first time at the end of 2021, as declared by Murtaza Karanfil, ruler of Turkey-Libya Business Council at Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Board.

Karanfil added the contract reached by the UN is targeted at defending the rights and interests of Turkey and Libya.

He as well said "Turkey's support ensures Libya's independence and internal peace. Turkey should attach importance to relations with Libya in order to protect the law in the Mediterranean, Aegean and Cyprus."
