(MENAFN) According to a provincial official from Bushehr, the export value from Bushehr province located in the southwest of Iran increased 77 percent the period from March 21 till October 22 of the present Iranian calendar year, in comparison to the corresponding time span of last year.
As announced by the director-general of the customs department of the province, Behrouz Qareh-Beygi, that 15.186 million tons of goods that value more than USD5.418 billion were exported from the region during the mentioned time frame. He also noted that the export also demonstrates seven-percent surge regarding weight when compared to the same period of last year.
The official mentioned petrochemicals, gas condensate, minerals, fishery as well as vegetables as the major exported items and China, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Turkey, the Netherlands, Pakistan, South Africa, Brazil and Qatar as few of the 48 export locations of these commodities in the stated time period.
Qareh-Beygi also added that 273,000 tons of goods that value USD711 million were imported to Bushehr province in the previously mentioned period, marking 15 percent surge regarding value, whereas seven percent fall regarding weight.
