Jordan - 30 Covid-19 deaths, 4,283 infections recorded Thursday


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Nov. 25 (Petra) -- The Ministry of Health said Thursday that it recorded 30 coronavirus deaths and 4,283 infections across the Kingdom, bringing the death toll from the pandemic to 11,459 and the caseload to 932,539.
According to the ministry's daily brief, the positivity rate for the day was at 8.47 per cent.
It said that the number of currently active cases reached 46,497 with 186 admitted to hospitals today, adding that 119 cases have been discharged. It said that the total number of confirmed cases that are now hospitalized reached 991.
According to the daily report, the occupancy rate of isolation beds in the northern region was 27 per cent, intensive care beds was 45 per cent and ventilators 32 per cent.
The occupancy rate of isolation beds in the central region was at 23 percent, intensive care beds 38 per cent and ventilators 19 per cent, it said.
In the southern region, the occupancy rate of isolation beds was at 14 per cent, intensive care beds 19 per cent and ventilators 17 per cent, it said.
The ministry said that 2,393 Covid-19 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of expected recoveries by the end of the 14-day isolation period to 874,583.
It also said that 50,555 PCR tests were conducted today, bringing the total number of swab tests that had been collected since the beginning of the pandemic to 11,939,884.
Some 4,106,866 received the first COVID-19 jab, while 3,713,635 received the two jabs, the brief added.
