Over 70,000 vaccine booster doses given in Qatar

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) More than 70,000 Covid-19 booster doses have been safely administered in Qatar so far, said Dr Samya Ahmad al-Abdulla, senior consultant of Family Medicine and executive director of operations at Primary Health Care Corporation, said. 'More than 5,000 people are receiving the booster doses every day as part of the campaign rolled out two months ago,' she explained in a video tweeted by the Ministry of Public Health on Thursday.
'The side effect of the booster vaccine dose is mild and no higher than the risk associated with the first two doses, including low grade fever, mild headache, fatigue and soreness at the injection site, which is commonly seen with other vaccines,' she said.
'We appreciate our community's support and commitment,' Dr al-Abdulla added.
