182 More Test Covid Positive In J&K

Srinagar- Coronavirus cases continued to shoot up in Jammu and Kashmir as 182 more people tested positive for infection in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.

According to officials, 149 fresh cases of novel coronavirus were reported from Kashmir Valley and the remaining 33 from Jammu Division, taking the total number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic last year in J&K to 336063.

In the Valley, officials said, Srinagar reported highest 69 new cases of infection,
Baramulla 32, Budgam 17, Kupwara 11, Ganderbal 6, Bandipora and Kulgam 5 each, Pulwama 3 and Anantnag 1 fresh case of Covid-19. Shopian was the only district in the Valley where no new case was reported.

In the winter capital, officials said, Jammu registered a maximum of 11 new cases, Reasi 10, Udhampur 4, Rajouri 3, Kathua and Kishtwar 2 each and Doda 1 fresh case of coronavirus. The three districts of Poonch, Ramban and Samba reported no new cases of Covid-19.

“Moreover, 160 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, 32 from Jammu Division and 128 from Kashmir,” officials said.

Also, the officials said that the fatality count due to Covid remained 4466 in J&K—2184 in Jammu and 2282 in Kashmir, as no fresh fatality was reported from the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
