UK: Crude oil advocacy groups call for investigations, control

(MENAFN) A group advocating for lesser petrol prices will have called for immediate action, asserting that motorists are being "fleeced" as prices go up to new highs.

After President Biden instructed a similar inquiry in the United States, FairFuelUK (FFUK) that has the support of haulage and logistic support lobby groups, told Sky News this was obvious that Competition and Markets Authority must focus on how "rip-off" compressor price increases are measured.

This also demanded that the government create a separate costing regulator, stating that "faceless businesses" have been presently " fleecing drivers to the tune of USD7,860 million per day more than necessary."

"Why shouldn't motorists have a price protection body like gas, electricity, water, and telecoms?" it asserted. Vendors simply pointed to a variety of factors, not only thoroughly expenses, as the cause of price increases.
