Turkey aims to sell more military equipment to Bangladesh

(MENAFN) On Wednesday Turkey’s ambassador to Bangladesh stated that his nation is willing to sell extra military equipment to the South Asian country without any political restriction and based on necessity.

Mustafa Osman Turan stated at a question and answer gathering with diplomatic reporters based in Bangladesh at the Turkish Embassy in the capital of Dhaka, that “[In military cooperation] Turkey always offers joint ventures or technology transfer and it is equally applicable for Bangladesh.”

He expressed that Turkey-Bangladesh ties are close-knit and steady in any state concerning political distinctions or state strategies and Ankara aims to be a “solution partner” of Bangladesh in military collaboration.

He stated while mentioning the international trend of political circumstances in acquiring military gear, Turkey has been capable to emerge out of the crisis by being reliant on itself in the military field.

Turan mentioned, “in the last 10 to 15 years we have been able to supply nearly 75 percent of our military equipment from our internal defense industries,” arguing that Turkey is now capable of constructing nearly all kinds of military gear.
