(MENAFN) China criticized the US offer to self-ruled Taiwan to Leader Joe Biden’s online conference on democracy.
Zhao Lijian, orator of Chinese Foreign Ministry, updated a news session in Beijing “Those who provide a platform for Taiwan secessionists will only bring themselves down.”
Taiwan that Beijing labels as “breakaway province,” is amid 110 “participants” invited to join the conference planned to take place in December.
Washington seems that it has prevented using “countries” and recognizing the members of the conference, while the move is seen as a reproach to Chinese persistence on a "One-China policy" regarding the subject of Taiwan.
