Turkey sees USD22B tourism revenue this year


(MENAFN) Turkish culture and tourism minister stated Turkey will produce USD22 billion from tourism this year by receiving over 28 million travelers.

Mehmet Nuri Ersoy declared Turkish tourism revenue stood at USD16.8 billion in January-September 2021 period, while stating the tourism revenue reached a sum of USD12.1 billion in last year, after nations applied strong coronavirus epidemic restrictions like travel bans and lockdowns.

Ersoy further announced at Turkish main economic occasion, Uludag Economy Summit on Wednesday, that Turkish promotional labors is significant to recover.

The two days meeting was planned since 2012 at a ski resort in the northwestern area of Bursa and the last two editions were organized online due to epidemic restrictions.
