(MENAFN) According to the head of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Expo 2020 Dubai has demonstrated to be a facilitator for development of the UAE economy, which is expected to grow at a quicker speed in the upcoming year, as Dubai carries on moving forward to improve its digital economy and enhance the start-up network.

President and chief executive of Dubai Chamber, Hamad Buamim, reported to The National on the sidelines of the 12th World Chambers Congress in Dubai that occurred on Tuesday, that the UAE economy is rebounding sharply from the pandemic and even fields that were most impacted because of the international economic collapse are recovering.

He stated, government procedures to help businesses and the digital renovation during the pandemic have also participated in an important part in the economic recovery.

Mr Buamim stated, “we have diversified our economy,” and “[in] the last quarter or so, even those [sectors] that weakened [during the pandemic], they have started to recover quite well.”
