(MENAFN- KNN India) MIDC signs $2 bn worth 25 MoUs in auto, textile sector at World Expo, Dubai

New Delhi, 22 Nov (KNN) Under the vision of Magnetic Maharashtra 2.0, the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) signed 25 MoUs valued at INR 15,269 crore ($2 billion) at World Expo 2020 in Dubai.

This was Magnetic Maharashtra 2.0's seventh edition and its first international edition.

The memorandum of understanding (MoUs) signed are in key sectors such as auto and auto components, logistics, electric vehicles, textiles, data centre, pharma, bio-fuels and energy, said MIDC in its release.

With regard to employment, this pact has potential of generating jobs for 10,851 people.

Companies from countries such as Japan, Singapore, Sweden, Korea, Germany and Italy are looking to invest in Maharashtra.

It is reported that the government of Maharashtra is participating in Dubai expo between November 19, 2021 and 2nd December 2021 along with a delegation led by Minister of Industries, Subhash Desai.

They were also joined by other seniors of Industries department between the 19th and 21st of November 2021.
