Turkey’s FM remembers assassinated diplomat by ARA group


(MENAFN) On Friday, Nov. 19 Turkish Foreign Minister gave his recognition to an assassinated diplomat in Vienna, the capital of Austria, by the attacks of an Armenian terrorist assembly in 1984.

The at the time deputy director of the UN Centre for Social Development and Humanitarian Affairs Evner Ergun was killed by the Armenian Revolutionary Army (ARA) terrorist assembly in his vehicle.

The foreign ministry stated in a report: “We remember with respect our martyr, Evner Ergun, Deputy Director of the United Nations Centre for Social Development and Humanitarian Affairs, assassinated in a heinous attack by the Armenian terrorist organization ARA in Vienna on 19.11.1984.”
