Major index of Tehran Stock Exchange falls 7,716 points on Tuesday


(MENAFN) On Tuesday TEDPIX, Iran’s benchmark stock index at TSE, dropped 7,716 points to reach 1.408 million.

According to reports, more than 4.465 billion securities that value 41.187 trillion rials (about USD980.6 million) were exchanged at Tehran Stock Exchange.

The first index of the market fell 4,156 points, whereas the second market’s index plummeted 20,259 points.

TEDPIX increased 58,000 points (4.1 percent) to reach 1.456 million in the previous Iranian calendar week (ended on Friday).

In the previous week, the largely indices were of Isfahan Refining Corporation, National Iranian Copper Industries Firm, Mobarakeh Steel Firm, Social Security Investment Corporation, Bandar Abbas Refining Corporation, Iran Khodro Group, and Saipa Firm.
