Saudi Arabia Participates in First Meeting for GlobE Network in Austria


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Vienna, Nov. 16, 2021, SPA -- Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha), an affiliate of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has participated in the first meeting of GLobE Network held in Vienna, it was reported today.
Nazaha Assistant President for International Cooperation Dr. Nasser bin Ahmad Abalkheil reviewed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's pioneering experience in anti-corruption during his inaugural speech yesterday, saying that the GlobE Network that aims at establishing a global network for anti-corruption was the result of directives and support of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, noting that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has offered US$10 million to support the initiative over the next five years during its inauguration at the extraordinary session of the UN General Assembly dedicated for anti-corruption in June.
He stressed that corruption is a cross-border issue and cannot be eliminated without close cooperation among law enforcement authorities concerned with anti-corruption.
