Ethiopia fights collapse as battle increases, US official envoi cautions

(MENAFN) The US notified that Ethiopia is slowly struggling with the chance of a collapse, which may be "disastrous" for its neighbors.

Ethiopia's fighting groups have the choice to go to discussions and stop extreme failure, nonetheless cautioned that if civil conflict encloses the nation the costs would be terrible for the area, in line with Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Blinken added at the State Department “I am very concerned about the potential for Ethiopia to implode given what we’re seeing, both in Tigray, but also as we have different forces, and different ethnic groups that are increasingly at odds," and cautioned that if the groups select "out-and-out conflict" the consequence could extend to other nations in the area.

He as well declared "That would be disastrous for the Ethiopian people, and also for countries in the region."
