President of KAUST plans to copy Google-Stanford triumph on Saudi unicorns

(MENAFN) President of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology Tony Chan seemed to be like a perfect shareholder or a private equity finance director not an academic, during his meeting with Arab News.

KAUST’s third chief intends to make Saudi unicorns and change additional thoughts established from his university into business dealings.

A unicorn firm is a private-owned company, usually a technology startup, which reaches an estimation of USD1 billion or more than that.

Chan stated, “so if you look at business around the world, especially big businesses … they’re all tech-based, right? Where do their ideas come from? Many of them came from universities.”
