China makes vital efforts to align itself with WTO rules
(MENAFN) According to the Ministry of Commerce (MOC), China has effectively achieved its World Trade Organization (WTO) commitments and gained wide recognition from the vast majority of WTO members.
in a press conference on WTO's eighth trade policy review of China, Wang Shouwen, China's vice minister of commerce stated that China has made vital efforts to bring into line itself with the WTO rules, open its market and stand by the rules.
Wang, who is also the deputy China International Trade Representative, further declared that China has received full credit from the director-general of the WTO and the vast majority of WTO members.
The official also stated that China's overall tariff level declined from 15.3 percent at the time of China's entry into the WTO to 7.4 percent now, lower than that of all developing members and close to that of developed members of the WTO.
