Turkey’s economic confidence index drops on monthly basis in October

(MENAFN) According to Turkey's statistical authority, the country’s economic confidence index dropped on a monthly basis in October, after recording high in previous months.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) stated that regardless of a 1 percent fall from September, the index was still above the threshold level as it reached 101.4 in October.

As a value below 100 points to a pessimistic view, a value above 100 shows an optimistic outlook for the general economic situation.

TurkStat further declared that the decline in September “stemmed from the decreases in consumer and real sector (manufacturing industry) confidence indices.”
