India captain Virat Kohli dropped one place to fifth despite his half-century against Pakistan in a losing cause in the ongoing T20 World Cup . Opener KL Rahul slipped two slots to eighth in the ICC men's T20I Player Rankings released on Wednesday.
Pakistan opener Mohammad Rizwan is three places up to the fourth position. This is Rizwan’s career-best ranking. The 29-year-old played a match-winning knock of 79 not out against India and 33 against New Zealand on Tuesday. Aaron Finch and Devon Conway have slipped by two and three places respectively.
South Africa batter Aiden Markram also attained his career-best ranking. Markram is at the third position, only behind Dawid Malan (831) of England and Pakistan captain Babar Azam (820). Shaheen Afridi, who produced a phenomenal spell in their opening game against India, is up 11 places to 12th position. In the bowling department, spinner Tabraiz Shamsi remains at the top position in the ICC T2)I rankings.

Bangladesh star Shakib Al Hasan has regained the top spot among all-rounders in the latest ICC men’s T20I rankings. The 34-year-old is in great form in the ongoing T20 World Cup and has won two Man of the Match. Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi is at second position with 275 rating points. While the next on the list Namibia allrounder JJ Smit with 161 points.
Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who moved to the 12th spot after his 46 against Scotland. Bangladesh opener Mohammad Naim has moved up 11 places to a career-best 13th position. Harris Rauf, who took four for 22 against New Zealand has gained 34 slots to reach a career-best 17th position.
