Lebanon: Fighting between army, trafficking network leaves 2 dead, 3 wounded
(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Oct. 26 a security source said to Xinhua two persons lost their lives and another three were injured in confrontations between the Lebanese army and a network trafficking people in the Lebanese northern district of Akkar.
The network works on trafficking Syrian people to Lebanon in northern town of Wadi Khaled neighboring Syria.
According to the source, Lebanese army attacked one of the crossings in Wadi Khaled, killing and injuring members of the network.
Trafficking networks safeguarding unlawful entries for Syrians to Lebanon are active due to the worsening living circumstances in adjacent Syria.
