Real Kashmir (R) beat J & K Forest, Police draw with Maharaja
SRINAGAR: Two matches of the JKFA Khyber Premier Division League 2021 were played on Monday at the Synthetic Turf TRC here.
In the highly anticipated first match, Real Kashmir FC (Reserves) defeated J & K Forest XI 3-0 in a one-sided affair.
Real Kashmir (R) took the lead in 23rd minute through Tabish. The team maintained the lead till the end of first half. RKFC then doubled their lead in the second half of the match through Riyaz. The Forest XI tried their best to get back into the match and missed number of opportunities to score.
Real Kashmir (R scored the third goal through Samuel in the dying moments of the match. The match ended 3-0 in favour of Real Kashmir FC (R). Mujtaba of Real Kashmir was awarded the man of the match award.
The second match of the Premier Division was played between J & K Police XI and Kashmir Maharaja XI.
Police XI started the match as favourites and took the lead in 20th minute through Vikas. The Police team took 1-0 lead into the second half knowing full well that the Maharajas will make life difficult if they don't double their lead. Both teams created opportunities to score but neither could capitalise on their chances.
However, just when the fans thought J & K Police XI was crawling to victory, Kashmir Maharaja FC scored the equalising goal. The last minute goal was scored by Suhail. Rashid Mehraj was awarded man of the match award.
Positive Kashmir Final Between J & K Bank & JKPDC Today
The first edition Positive Kashmir KO Football Tournament final between J & K Bank XI and JKPDC XI is all set to be played Tuesday, October 26 at Synthetic Turf TRC. The match will kick off at 3:00 PM.
