China: Chemical factory blast leaves 4 dead, 3 wounded


(MENAFN) Local authorities stated that on Friday, Oct. 22 four persons lost their lives and another three were wounded after a blast rocked a chemical factory in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

The explosion occurred at approximately 11:00 p.m. Friday at a workshop of a chemical factory in Bayan Obo industrial park in Alxa League (prefecture). The fire attributable to the explosion was extinguished early Saturday.

The legal representative of the factory has been held by the local public security authorities and the plant is stopping fabrication.

The regional government has formed a team to probe the reason of the explosion.
