Iran’s export of steel ingots increases 36 percent in 1H


(MENAFN) In the first six months of the current Iranian year, Iran’s export of steel ingots rose 36 percent in comparison to the previous year same period.

The country exported in the mentioned period of the current year 3.495 million tons of different types of steel ingots (slab, billet, bloom), as the figure stood at 2.567million tons in the same period of the previous year, the statistics stated.

Iran’s major steel producers manufactured more than 9.901 million tons of steel ingots in the first six months of the current year, registering a 12-percet drop annual.

Industry, Mining and Trade Ministry marked a three-month waiver in May for some approved steel production units to be able to export steel products especially long sections.
