Turkey's benchmark stock index ends Friday at 1,479.93 points


(MENAFN) On Friday, Turkey's benchmark stock index ended the day at 1,479.93 points, increased 1.68 percent from the previous day, registering its highest closing since Sept. 3.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index increased 24.51 points from Thursday's close of 1,455.42 points, after opening the day at 1,456.07 points.

During the day, the index's lowest rate stood at 1,453.97 points and its daily high reached 1,484.89 points.

The total market rate of the BIST 100 stood at 1.16 trillion Turkish liras (USD125.6 billion) by market close, with a daily trading rate over 21.67 billion Turkish liras (USD2.25 billion).

Also; 88 stocks on the index increased, eight dropped, and four remained unchanged in comparison to Thursday's close.
