Circular No. 47 raises fines for public transport drivers' vaccination violations


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN — Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh on Monday issued Circular No.47 of 2021, based on the provisions of Article 6 of Circular No. 44 of 2021.

The new circular has increased the fine for COVID-19 vaccination violations of drivers of public transport vehicles that work at full capacity. A month prior to commencing work, drivers must have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine.

Violating drivers of public transport vehicles will face a fine of no less than JD100 and no more than JD500. The maximum penalty will be imposed for repeat violations.  

The prime minister has the authority to amend any of the provisions of this circular under other circulars issued for this purpose.
