São Paulo – Space Week started in the Brazil Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, with the presence of the minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, astronaut Marcos Pontes (pictured above), following the general schedule of the world's fair. According to information released by the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MCTI), it is organizing the thematic exhibition to project Brazil as a global technological player.

During Space Week, which runs from October 17 to 23, the operations implemented by the Brazilian government for the space sector will be presented through the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB) and the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), which are linked to the MCTI. Visitors will learn about the Alcântara Launch Center, a place for launching satellites, the Amazônia-1, the first satellite entirely produced in Brazil, and systems, launchers, and space services under development in the country.

The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) is a partner of the MCTI in its participation in Expo 2020 Dubai and held at its headquarters, in the city of São Paulo, in August, an event about Space Week which served to launch the ABCC's 4.0 Space for technology and innovation.
