Saudi, Jordanian shareholders unveil Fly Aqaba airline


(MENAFN) On Sunday, Oct. 17 Jordanian PETRA news agency reported, Jordan’s Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority inked an investment deal to make a private Saudi-Jordanian airline with an amount of USD20 million.

The big investment scheme was the outcome of shared collaboration among the Saudi Kingdom and Jordan.

Nayef Bakheet, chairman of the authority’s board of officials, declared: “The new airline will operate flights to the capital, Amman, and to European, Arab and Gulf countries under the name Fly Aqaba.”

Bakheet stated that Fly Aqaba plans on starting two airplanes in the initial stage.
The company’s main center is set to be in the city Aqaba in Jordan.
