Gallops equestrian race to kick off in Wadi Rum on October 23


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN — A new edition of Gallops, an international equestrian event, will take place in the Wadi Rum desert between October 23 and 30, with the participation of 135 riders from 15 countries, according to organisers.

The event, an endurance racing, will witness the participation of celebrities and prominent figures, including Princess Jalila Bint Ali, Camille Cerf, Miss France 2015, Iris Mittenaere, Miss Universe 2016, and Emmeline Parmentier, a Belgian jockey who had her legs amputated after a car accident and returned to horse riding, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

After being held in Oman, Morocco and India, the fourth edition of Gallops in Jordan will have riders from: The US, France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Germany and Switzerland, Indonesia, Japan, Argentina and Denmark, in addition to the Omani-Royal Cavalry team, besides Jordan, the host country.
