Nepalese Toastmasters Qatar organised a virtual Open House session to mark the 25th club meeting. Dr Narad Nath Bharadwaj, Ambassador of Nepal to Qatar addressed the session as Chief Guest and District 116 Director of Toastmasters Manzoor Moideen was the keynote speaker.
Club President Prem Sharma Lamsal presided the meeting and briefed about the Toastmasters and its protocol, and requested all the people from Nepalese community to be part of this US headquartered non-profit educational organization to upskill their communication and public speaking skills.
During the speech Ambassador emphasized the importance of becoming bilingual and multilingual, and effective communicator in this era of globalization. He also mentioned that this Open Session is just a leading light, and urged all the people from Nepalese community to follow this light and move towards upgrading their skills to become effective communicator. He also congratulated the club leaders for the initiation and asked to share this learning opportunity to all interested Nepalese people who are working and residing in the State of Qatar.
Keynote speaker Manzoor Moideen addressed the people from Nepalese community gathered there and elaborated what the Toastmasters is all about. He shared his own experience of how Toastmaster transformed him to become a confident public speaker.
The Open House was also addressed by guests including Founder President of Nepalese Toastmasters Qatar, Mohamad Ayub Haque, President of Non Resident Nepalese Association, Mohamad Muktada, Nepal Engineers Association, Qatar Centre President, Arjun Prasad Bhattarai, District 116 Club Growth Director Ravi Shankar, District 116 Admin Manager Sabeena M.K., Division E Director Anupama Kasibhatla, Division E assistant Program Quality Director Nishi Kumar, Area 18 Director Lakshmi Sarada and VPE of Nepalese Toastmasters Mahatab Alam. Prof. Dr. Shaligram Pokharal from Qatar University recapped the Open House Session. The program was conducted by Vice President Membership of Nepalese Toastmaster Qatar Narendra Aryal.
