Russia addresses nuclear treaty with Iran


(MENAFN) Russia’s Foreign Ministry affirmed that Russian foreign minister talked over phone with Iranian foreign minister on Tehran’s nuclear agreement with world powers as well as two-sided ties amid them.

The ministry added that Sergey Lavrov addressed the state near the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran’s nuclear plan with Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

The report also declared, while emphasizing the meaning of the agreement "At the meeting, it was confirmed that the restoration of the nuclear agreement to its original balanced configuration is the only correct way to ensure the rights and interests of all parties involved.”

Moreover, it showed “Mutual interest was expressed in the issue of resuming negotiations on the agreement in Vienna as soon as possible."
