Russia utters worry for current disaster in Beirut


(MENAFN) According to a Russian Foreign Ministry, Moscow is "extremely concerned" over conflicts in Lebanon’s capital Beirut that killed six people.

Moscow requested the sides to work on self-control and assumes the administration of Najib Mikati is going to deal with what is happening.

"We hope that the government of Najib Mikati, formed with considerable difficulty, will cope with this dangerous challenge and will not allow further degradation of the situation in the country.”

A report by the foreign ministry showed "We express our condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims. We call on all Lebanese politicians to show restraint and prudence, to return to constructive joint work in the interests of resolving current issues on the national agenda on the basis of mutual respect and consent, without external interference."
